Shooting Indy at night is something I do a lot of these days. Since I moved downtown less than a year ago, I can get out so much easier, if only for a little bit at a time.
For the image below, I was wandering around the outskirts of Indy trying to use the tram tracks in a skyline composition. I remember it was really late at night. Somewhere between the bar crowds having gone home and the 1st shifters not on the road yet. That always makes me wonder what other people are thinking and/or doing this late at night out in the city. Not exactly that thought, but more I wonder if they wonder what I'm doing out in the city this late at night.

I may have stolen the name of the above image from a Harrison Ford & Meg Ryan (maybe...) movie, but it's one of my recent favorites. At first I over-edited the image and it lacked contrast. I also shot with the wrong white balance and forgot to correct that in Lightroom. But I corrected those things and ended up with this for the final image. The title defines what I was trying to capture with this composition. At the top I chose to only include the church's drive-in awning with the Scottish Rite Cathedral name. Lurking at the bottom of the image is the magnificent cathedral, one of Indianapolis' finest examples of neo-gothic architecture.
