This is one of the most well-known abandoned buildings in Gary, Indiana, and it does not disappoint. I’ve been here a handful of times and always seem to find something new to photograph. My photography friend, Ian, and I got there before the rest of our group arrived and were able to capture some really nice morning light coming through the cracks and crevasses of the building. These two images, the one above and the one below, were taken in the basement. I used a long exposure for these shots, but it was substantially darker and creepier down here than the images portray. You couldn’t see without a flashlight!
