Houston, Texas | Cityscapes

Houston, Texas is the fourth largest city in the US, and once we got close there was no doubting its massive size and number of people.  Houston’s highway system is impressive on its own; it has to be to handle around 2 million residents living in the metro area. You can also tell Houston has a growing economy just by looking to either side of the freeways.  All over are businesses, mainly manufacturing, warehousing, etc.

If you like cityscapes and their beautiful architecture, then check out my Chicago gallery.

The Fastest Tour of Houston, Texas

You can also tell Houston has a growing economy just by looking to either side of the freeways. All over are businesses, mainly manufacturing, warehousing, etc. Thankfully I have a good friend who has lived here the past 4 years and he took us on a “speed tour,” since you DO NOT want to get caught in rush hour traffic.

Overall Houston seems nice and clean with a ton to do…I’m guessing because there were so many cars on the road we couldn’t get too far. At the same time it is also the perfect example of why we are moving to Belize. There is so much concrete and steel, automobiles and traffic…it’s depressing. I couldn’t even imagine how a person can meet any meaningful friends in a place this size, where everyone is in a hurry to get somewhere, or avoid gridlock.

Thank you, Ryan, for the hospitality!
