Continuing my photo tour of Indiana’s waterfalls, I headed down to Spencer, Indiana, and McCormick Creek State Park. I didn’t have enough daylight to tour the entire park, but from what I saw this place is amazing! I hiked Trail #3 down to this area of the river seen in my images, but there are several more hiking trails and even a hotel/lodge right by the trailhead.
If you look at the image above you can see the rock ledges that have formed over the years, and I believe these are used as part of the hiking trail. However on my trip I think the creek was swelled up a bit from some rain we’ve had, and the natural rock ledge trail was under water after this point.

For really great trails deep in the woods, you can’t beat McCormicks Creek and Turkey Run State Parks in Indiana. We have trampled through those trails for years!
